Description

Some network cards are reporting a huge amount of RSS queues even if the load balancing is only doable on a subset (usually less than 16). It seems this can cause some issues on some kernel with CPU soft lock up which are seen.

A possible solution could be to cap the auto mode to 16 threads. But it would be a limit on system using network card supporting far more load balanced RSS queues.

Any suggestion welcome.
