[541] 21/6/2011 -- 00:45:51 - (util-reference-config.c:97) <Error> (SCRConfInitContext) -- [ERRCODE: SC_ERR_FOPEN(44)] - Error opening file: "reference.config": No such file or directory

Please check the "reference-file" option in your suricata.yaml file.

$ grep reference /etc/suricata/suricata.yaml
reference-config-file: /etc/suricata/rules/reference.config

src/util-reference-config.c should be updated to refer to "reference-config-file".
