Description
Hello Team,
I have gone through various NIDS tools(Snort,Suricata,BRO) and as per my research Suricata is feasible for our Infrastructre.
I just want to know what and all need to be consider, before starting the installation.
Please let us know on what basis OS needs to select? which Suricata Version is recomenended?

This depends on your setup, I recommend reading our documentation: https://suricata.readthedocs.io/en/latest/
The OS depends also on your requirements, Linux support is the most advanced. The most common used are Debian, Ubuntu, CentOS but also other distris will work.
Suricata 5.0.x is recommended as it's the current stable but 6.0.x is coming soon as well. Always stick to the supported stable versions.
