One of our ideas in our recent conversations was to move a number of capture methods into "internal" plugins: pfring, napatech, endace, etc. Would that satisfy our requirements here? Guess we'd need at least one that can by run in CI.

The CI plugin from the link above is not a full template, but it is a minimal example. Full examples like pfring and napatech also exist.
