netmap: capture drop stats

Description
Currently it looks like the only 'drops' our netmap support registers is when packets could not be forwarded in bridge mode. If netmap support it, I would like to have capture drops as well.
Looking at example code and netmap's libpcap code I don't see drop stats anywhere.
A workaround at least on Linux could be to retrieve NIC drop stats through the ethtool ioctl support.
